## Welcome to Decentralized Psychiatry

**Transforming mental health care, access, technology and resources.**

Below follows a high-level overview of Decentralized Psychiatry.

* **Educating** the public to enhance Mental Health Literacy

We are undertaking these ambitious goals by simultaneously ***leveraging innovations*** across **TWO Paradigm-Shifting technologies**:

### Neuromodulation

* This is **medically** defined as "[the alteration of nerve activity through targeted delivery of a stimulus, such as electrical stimulation or chemical agents, to specific neurological sites in the body.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuromodulation_\(medicine\))"
* The ability to deliver ***targeted*** mental health treatments via **Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation** (**NIBS**) is ushering in a new era of ***Personalized Precision Psychiatry***. 
* Because the interventions are ***non-invasive*** and ***focal***, **side effects** are **minimal**.

### Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)

* **Bitcoin** is the first instantiation of distributed ledger technology to go mainstream.
* Ethereum was the first decentralized smart contract platform to go live.
* These **decentralized networks** have ***democratized access to capital***, thus **unlocking** a universe of previously inaccessible opportunities.
* Smart Contracts transform the relationship between Labor and Capital, enabling provision healthcare in a peer-to-peer manner.
